No one is stopping us -- you, I, or any of the people with whom we work and associate -- from creating a better future. We are the authors of this next chapter called 2025.
We have the freedom in the months ahead to construct a newer and enhanced version of our chiropractic and healthcare practices and lives.
Being creative can be fun, meaningful, and rewarding. Creativity fits into our innate urge to continuously improve – to make something good, or better, and deliver it to the world.
Over the next week or so, you might take time to envision your New Year and how you want to create it. Collaborate your vision with your team and others – we all need each other.
You have the opportunity to do something new and better. Rearrange your desk or the wall art, give care classes, try line dancing, increase your workouts, and listen to others more calmly. Don’t be so serious!
The trick is to keep each day its own day. It’s like the old concept of Present Time Consciousness (“P.T.C.” as I recall Dr. Jimmy Parker teaching). When you are present – in the now, you can be creative.
If you let yourself slide, you will fall into boredom, allowing your mind to go on automatic where every day is like every other day, and every patient is like every other patient. Oh, the tedium! It can get grim. And when this happens to you, you can bet it will also happen to your team.
This is where a strong support network can help you. No one is an island, so having teammates, coaches, and colleagues to help you stay in the now and who can also hold you accountable can be very helpful.
In 2025, commit to making each day new -- each patient visit as your first. Don’t go on automatic. Stay out of our algorithmic world. Be human, spiritual, and Innate.
