2026 is going to be a pivotal year for every healthcare business owner. Perhaps more than any other year before.
Let me just put this out there now.
I’ll explain more about this in upcoming newsletters, but please note: 2026 can be the year you see your Best Ever.
I look forward to showing you why.
BUT FOR NOW, let’s get your marketing structured and stronger than ever.
Trust Is The Key In Healthcare Marketing
As Aristotle said, according to Will Durant:
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."
In healthcare marketing, you are selling the invisible.
Because of this, trust is your key ingredient. And how do you develop trust?
Consistency. Empathy. Results.
Your brand is your unique statement and presentation of how you and your business consistently genuinely care for each person. And that you produce excellent outcomes.
However you define your uniqueness, you need to do so --- consistently.
Are You Doing It Now?
So many times, I have visited an office whose numbers were down and asked them what they were doing when their numbers were up.
“So, what were you doing when your numbers were better?”
“Oh, we sent out newsletters.”
OK, are you doing so now? “No”.
“What else were you doing?”
“We’d call the new patient after their first adjustment.”
Are you doing that now? “No”
“What else?”
“We’ll we’d do a thorough financial consultation to onboard the new patients.”
Are you doing that now? “(Laughter) "Are you kidding? No!"
I am not making this stuff up.
Stopping what works quickly kills momentum. This sets you up for the roller coaster.
Besides losing trust, you also lose the energy it takes to systematize and make these actions ongoing.
That is just physics!
Recurring Marketing Checklist
Checklists help with this. They force your discipline.
And discipline is tough. It requires, well… discipline. But after a while, habit and momentum take over, and this helps.
But a checklist ensures nothing falls through the cracks, which always happens.
Systems and processes atrophy!
Your Monthly Discipline Hack:
Make a list of the top 10 internal and external actions you do every month.
Have your manager own these.
Review the list at the staff meeting every month
Grades the percentage of actions completed.
Everyone is accountable!
These should account for 70-80% of your total marketing.
Special Promotions and Your Marketing Planner
Once you have your Recurring Marketing Checklist done, you can you can look to the upcoming 2-3 months for special promotions – yearly or one-time adventures. For example:
Advertising with a company on Facebook.
A food drive in conjunction with the local food pantry. (Note: Needed more than ever this year.)
A health talk at a local yoga studio.
Your manager or your marketing coordinator can give you a marketing planner every month. It should include the percentage of Recurring Marketing Actions completed and the number of special promotions planned.
